Reeves 2000 Plus

The 2000 Plus is manufactured with a premium cast-coated surface for a smooth release to the sheet, even with the most difficult matte aqueous coatings that typically will “rain” or “orange peel” with lesser coating blankets. Our 2000 Plus may cost slightly more than other coating blankets, however, due to this material’s superior construction, it will definitely deliver a higher level of performance, for a longer period of time, making your investment in quality the right choice.

UV CURABLE INK RESISTANT OFFSET BLANKETS

Gans Ultra-Cure

Gans Ultra-Cure blankets, our newest blanket for UV and Hybrid curable inks, have been manufactured for long-life resistance to the aggressive effects of UV inks and washes. While all blankets will eventually succumb to the penetrating solvents of this type of ink, Gans Ultra-Cure blanket will resist breakdown for an extended period of time. Fabricated with 100% EPDM surface compounds, this material has a precision buffed finish containing a higher level of microscopic pores to carry more ink, and facilitate a better transfer to the sheet, than any other UV blanket we sell. Ultra-Cure blankets can be used in both sheet-fed and web applications for the highest quality and longest life dot reproduction achievable.

Gans RAVE

Gans Rave blankets have been the industry standard for nearly 10 years. Made with EPDM surface compounds that are resistant to the long-term embossing affects of UV curable inks, Rave will deliver dependable performance to the sheet-fed printer. This blanket has a double buffed surface for smooth transfer and release. If you are a sheet-fed printer using UV curable inks, you owe it to yourself to try Gans Rave blankets and see the difference.

Rubber Based Blending Inks

Gans “Double X” Rubber Based inks have been an industry standard for years. Formulated to improve performance with limited and difficult dampening systems, as well as with paper and poly plates.

Our Double X inks will stay open for extended periods, while drying extremely fast on most uncoated paper stocks. This series is considered “finishing friendly” for foil embossing and lamination*, however, laser imprint compatibility should be pre-tested due to the wide variety of substrates available today. Bleed resistant pigments must be specified when aqueous or UV coating.

*Some laminates and coatings have the potential to “bleed” or alter the appearance of some pigments. It is recommended that standard pigments be pre-tested when laminating or coating.

FADE RESISTANT PROCESS INKS

For applications requiring prolonged exposure to light, such as packaging and labeling, Gans Ink has developed process ink formulations using pigments resistant to the fading effect of UV radiation.

Please note that process black and cyan are inherently fade-resistant, only the magenta and yellow will fade with time. Gans Ink’s fade resistant process inksets are formulated to wet trap inline, however, it is possible to purchase only the fade resistant magenta and yellow and run them with your standard house black and cyan in many instances.

Consult with your Gans Technical Representative to determine if this is possible in your specific application.
