GANS INK & SUPPLY COMPANY'S ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT:

For over 25 years Gans Ink has been developing offset printing inks for both sheet-fed and cold-set web applications based on renewable oils and rosins. Over the years we have worked closely with the American Soybean Association in establishing soy-content guidelines for specialty printing ink formulations, and with our suppliers to develop less volatile base ink materials incorporating numerous other renewable nut and vegetable oils.

 

While these highly sustainable ink products have been a small part of our overall product line for decades, with the heightened public concern over global warming, and the unavoidable fact that petroleum supplies are becoming both economically unfeasible and practically exhausted, Gans has renewed our commitment to sustainably sourced and manufactured inks for the commercial printing marketplace.

 

However, Gans Ink’s responsibility to future generations and the environment goes far beyond printing inks. We have developed a whole line of low volatility press washes and cleaners, and instituted company-wide policies to minimize our impact on the environment. Gans Ink pledges to view all immediate and future business goals through the lens of efficient, sustainable practices, and we commit to a leadership role in demonstrating the viability of environmentally sensitive products and practices for the entire ink manufacturing industry.
